Hi! I can't drag subwindows to the 2nd monitor.
They just seem to disappear if I try to. However,I can drag dockets there without any issues. I use Windows 10 (most recent updates), my monitors resolutions are - 2560x1440 and 1920x1080 I uninstalled Krita today, deleted all the settings from the AppData/Roaming and reinstalled it again (even tried the latest alpha version), but it didn't help. Any suggestions? |

No, subwindows cannot leave the main window. That's why they're called "sub"-windows. You will need to create a new main window from the window menu, and drag that over there. You can have multiple views on the same image in different mainwindows.

You can't drag an image subwindow out of its main window.
You can do Window -> New Window and put that anywhere and do anything in it. In that new window you can do Window -> New View and select images from the other window for display and working on, which can be useful. |

Thank you so much for the reply!
That's a pity! I use this feature a lot in Photoshop (having color version in one subwindow and grayscale preview in another one on my 2nd monitor). Tried new window on 2nd monitor in Krita, it doesn't really work the way I just described. But good to know that Krita works fine on my machine, I thought it might be some problem on my side. |

Tried new window on 2nd monitor in Krita, it doesn't really work the way I just described. But it really should. If you go to Window -> new Window and then Window -> New View -> [the view with the image you're working on], and then either turn on softproofing or use LUT Manager to make it greyscale, it will work fine. What problem do you have with this method? |

it works now! for some reason, when I tried it for the 1st time, the view on another monitor didn't update following the changes I make on the 1st one, but now it does.
Many thanks! |
