Hi!

I've recently started using Krita but I'm having a problem where Krita crashes when I try to drag and drop a png into it. It also happens if I right click on the png and click open with Krita. I'm on a Mac and am using the version that pops up first when you're on the Krita website. Any fixes?

Figured it out! I went to Krita > preferences > display and turned off canvas graphics acceleration and it started working

I don't see that happening with the version 4.4.1 appimage on Linux. I can right-click open a .png with krita or I can drag and drop it onto the main window, either when no other documents are open or many are, whether canvas graphics acceleration is on or off.
This sounds like a Mac specific problem.

Can you try it with the 4.4.2-beta2 which is described here with download links:

4.4.2-beta2 is very stable and close to formal release.

If the 4.4.2-beta2 has this problem, can you raise a bug report at https://bugs.kde.org/ and post a link to the report in a reply here?
