I'm actually looking for a solution how to assign a shortcut for an erase brush preset.
I can use "E" to switch to erasing brush, but this way the settings of size will be duplicated. What I want is a independent shortcut for an eraser. |

There is a Ten Brushes script in Tools -> Scripts. I believe it should be enabled by default; if not, you can enable it in Configure Krita -> Python Plugins (it would need a restart of Krita). In Tools -> Scripts -> Ten Brushes you can assign brushes to slots, and in Configure Krita -> Keyboard Shortcuts you can change the shortcuts to whatever you wish.
There are also "DirectEraser" and "ThreeSlots" (normal brush, eraser and smudge/blender brush) plugins: https://docs.krita.org/en/resources_page.html#usability - look around and see which one looks like the best for you. > I can use "E" to switch to erasing brush, but this way the settings of size will be duplicated. You can set eraser mode to use a different size setting than the normal mode in Brush Editor (F5) -> (on the bottom bar) "Eraser Switch Size". However if the preset has pressure-dependent size, the eraser will still be pressure-dependent; it only affects the "maximum size" setting, the one you set on the Krita toolbar. |
