Ive been looking for answers but i cant find anything. What is it and how do i use it?
Is it some sort of hidden function, a plugin? Or is it just a fancy name for something super simple? I want to try it, but i dont have even the slightest clue how. |

A bit more context would be nice, what exact program are you talking about? You are in the general KDE forum here, you need to specify which program this is about, the KDE community makes several dozens of programs....
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

There is 'Save Incremental Version' and 'Save Incremental Backup', with a subtle but definite difference between them.
They're both under the File menu item. For an overview of various aspects of Saving, there's this section of the manual: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/a ... ncremental |

Okay. i found it.
However this seems useless as its just a different manual save... So if i forget to save, i will definetely forget to save like this too. Luckily i wrote a program which will secure a certain number of autosaves passively as im drawing. So i sorta solved my own problem. Yay for me knowing how to program a little! Thanks for helping me out anyway! I found out what i wanted to know |
