I was drawing normally with my Wacom Intuos Art Small tablet until everything sort of froze like things were having a meltdown, but it was eventually fixed. I bring this up because after this event there's now lag with any interaction I have with Krita that involves making a stroke. Whether it be adjusting the size of the pen or just drawing, unless I move a certain distance, nothing will be drawn. This is especially annoying when I have to work on small details or want to carefully move something the slightest bit. It's made it difficult to gauge how far my pen has moved and when I finally go the distance for it to allow me to actually draw something, a straight line will be drawn from the point I started from to the point it finally allowed me to draw. I really need help, as I've finally felt inspired but I can't finish my project with the quality I want if this keeps happening. I tested it in Paint and there was no lag there. I can use the scroll bar on websites just fine without any lag, so I'm sure this is a problem with Krita. I'm aware there's a similar issue like with a circle showing up and whatever, but that's not the issue because I had that and then resolved it. This is something different. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Hi,
1. Select the Freehand Brush Tool (the brush icon in toolbox)
2. Go to the docker "Tool Option"
3. Be sure Brush Smoothing is set to "Basic"
Does the problems persist after that?

This worked for me.
- Go to your Wacom Tablet Properties (Wacom Settings).
- Go to the Mapping Tab.
- Uncheck "Use Windows Ink."
