Unexpected brush result with Mouse

Wed Jun 16, 2021 3:30 am
Hi
I'm a novice in drawing so I usually make simple animations. I have just started using Krita.
I can not use the brushes properly. The brushes are not following the stroke pattern as shown in the picture. For example, with the brush 'Ink-7_brush-rough' I am not getting the thin (end) edge as the picture suggests. Same with other brushes which have a thin exit at the end.
I know it may be because mouse click counts as full pressure applied on the brush. Is there any way to work around this - I mean to get the nice smooth thin exit?
Thank you.

Those brush icon stroke pictures represent variation with stylus pressure so yes, it's because you're using a mouse.
You can get variation of stroke width (or opacity) with a mouse but it would be fixed by distance and even more limiting if you wanted it at the end of a stroke.

This topic deals with it in a simplified way: https://krita-artists.org/t/fade-for-brush/24785
