Good morning. I have a problem in Krita and don't know how to solve it. I can make new paths but don't know how to curve straight lines that I made using the paths tool. I was earlier using Gimp but I had the same problem. When I chose paths in Gimp I chose projects and I inserted new lines. Then I chose modification and changed the direction of these lines. Then I made selection from these lines and filled it using some color. But lately somehing changed. When I choose shift in Gimp when I pick these lines the lines changed their position not their curvature. Then I looked at similar programs. I've tried a few of them - paid and not-paid. Krita was the best. But I didn' know I would have the same problem. When I choose Bezier curves and make new lines and then I pick shape editing tool I can't anyhow change the curvature of these lines. Please, help me. Tell me how to do it.

If you want to use vector tools in krita then you need to be working on a Vector Layer, not a Paint (raster) layer.
The manual is very useful: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/v ... phics.html GIMP only does bare vector paths, creating and modifying them in a separate space not as part of the image. Then they can be stroked and filled but the visible result goes into the visible raster image layers. Krita works with vector images on vector layers that can be edited as visible vector shapes. If you need further help and advice, this will best be done by posting screenshots and I suggest that you go to https://krita-artists.org/ (sign up and sign in needed) and create a New Topic there in the Beginners Questions category. |
