Hi all,
I used to run Krita on a Win 10 machine, NVIDIA Quadro K620 graphic board, and a Wacom Bamboo tablet : No problem. Now I try tu run Krita on a Microsoft Surface G3, Win 11 Prof, using the sensitive screen of the G3 and a Renaisser Raphael 520 pen, supposed to be fully compatible with the MS native pen : Problem, no detection of stylet pressure, lines are of constant darkness and thickness. Worse, I tried to plug the Wacom Bamboo on the Surface G3 : Still no detection of the stylet pressure (it worked fine on the "old" machine) Would it be a Win 11 youth bug ? Any idea how to fix that ? Take care, lehibou |

If you plugged in your Wacom Bamboo, it wouldn't work unless you'd also installed the driver for the Wacom Bamboo.
If you did that, it could easily interfere with whatever screen/stylus driver arrangements are in place (or supposed to be in place) at the moment. Also, Wacom may not make a Windows 11 driver for the Wacom Bamboo, I don't know. I suggest that you try to get it working with the G3 screen and the Rapheal 520 pen first. This probably uses the Windows Ink standard of communicating with applications. In krita, go to Settings -> Configure Krita -> Tablet settings. You'll see two option boxes, one called 'Wintab' and One called 'Windows Ink'. If Wintab is ticked then click on the Windows Ink option box to change to Windows Ink. Then restart krita and see if there is stylus pressure sensitivity. If Windows Ink is already ticked then I think you should go to https://krita-artists.org/ and sign up to that forum. Make a New Topic there explaining your problem. There are people on that forum who have experience of dealing with surface tablets and the various stylus pressure problems. |
