After installing and running Krita 5.0, I had to remove it and go back to an earlier version, as it was running super slow on my Wacom tablet. 4.4.7 is running fine. Is it possible that Krita 5.0 requires more resources than the earlier version, and I don't have the hardware to use it successfully?
Thanks! Gary |

No, that's not possible. Compared to Krita 4, Krita 5 has been optimized A LOT. If it's slower than 4 on your system something else is up.

Thanks for your reply. I'll try installing it again and see if I have the same issue with speed. It was really dramatic, and affected every function - opening files, saving files, doing things like flood fill. It's relatively easy to go back and forth, except I have to reconstruct all my saved palette brush preferences is the biggest downside.
