Krita crashes xserver?

Fri Apr 15, 2022 7:28 pm
This problem bugs me every now and then, and as it is a real showstopper, I would appreciate help to sort this out.
I am running Krita 5.0.2 on Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS with a Wacom Cintiq 12WX, when my stylus seems to be no longer working. Switching my cintiq off and on doesn't fix the problem, and after a while my xserver windows manager crashes. This is really inconvenient, as this kills all of my gui programs. The log shows:

Any suggestion on how to proceed is appreciated!
