Hi all,

I recently got a "digital notepad", the Medion MD 85925, and would like to use it as a graphics tablet e.g. in inkscape. I am running the kubuntu 9.10 kde 4.4 rc2 packages here.

When I connect the device via USB, it is recognized as a removable device and I can download the internally stored graphics files without problems.

Moreover, moving the pen over the tablet moves the mouse pointer accordingly over the screen, alright. But I can't use mouse buttons yet. Left click / double click is supposed to be triggered by clicking / double clicking with the pen on the tablet, but this doesn't work here. Also right click, which should be triggered by a button on the device, is not working.

Has anybody an idea how to set up this device properly? Do I need to provide any additional information? - would be great to use it for drawing ...

Best,

Hm... http://eddie.niese.net/20071129/new-dig ... ad-gadget/ is an interesting blog, but I'm afraid that getting it to work in every respect with Linux/X11 will be a bit of struggle. It's nothing KDE (or Krita) can really do much about.
