How to compile in PC-BSD

Wed Aug 18, 2010 2:12 pm
Hi there,
I'm about to give a try to FreeBSD with PC-BSD, so I'd like to know how to build Krita from svn there, is there specific things to do or can I just follow this tutorial ?!

If someone can advise me on this please.

That should mostly work. If you come across specific differences, please tell us and we can update the build guide with your experiences!

Ok, so I'll give it a try and then share the result here! ;)

Be aware, however, that currently on FreeBSD, krita suffers from extremely long loading time.

Thank you Cyrille for this warning. I was reading other comments on pc-bsd forum that made me start to think it won't fit my needs, and you just confirmed it.
So in the end I'll stick to Linux for now!
