Channels in Krita

Mon Oct 18, 2010 11:29 am
Hi,
is it possible to work with single RGB channels
as well as CMYK or Lab channels?
I didn´t found a tool for this.

Thanks

Hey pat69a,

Your question isn't completely clear. Are you asking if it's possible to just paint on *one* channel (say the green channel)?

I would like to be able to paint on/manipulate channels seperately. I know Krita is supposed to be a paint app only but it is super frustrating that the only Linux based app that supports a 16bit L*A*B* colourspace doesn't allow you to do any manipulations on it.

In the layer docker you can open the layer properties. In that dialog is a box on the right with the channel where you can uncheck all channel that you don't want to modify.
