Duplicate brush alignment?

Thu Nov 04, 2010 4:36 pm
I wondered if I can change the alignment of the duplicate brush in krita?

In the gimp I can set the alignment of the clone stamp tool to none, aligned, registered and fixed, especially the "none" is useful for texture painting.

No alignment ("none") means that each time I start drawing again, I start a new clone of the selected area to clone from. The current behavior in krita is that if i start drawing again, the clone is "aligned". This is very useful, but the "none" mode is useful too.

Is this possible in krita? If not, is this feature on the wishlist?

I don't *think* it's currently possible (dev's shoot me down here... :)) If it was, I would expect it to show up in either the brush editor or the tool options docker. I'd say it's a good candidate to add as a wishlist on the bugtracker at bugs.kde.org under krita.
