Issues about Krita

Thu May 12, 2011 9:36 pm
Hi guys. I'm using Krita most frequently and I have some questions, suggestions and ideas to share.

1. Shapes:
Based on this example I have two questions:
Image
A. Can I set the objects with smooth borders?
B. It's possible delete the outline of the objects?

2. Blur effects:
If I use the effect on a complete image without alpha the effect is cool, but if I use the effect in a layer with alpha the results aren't the same.
Here some example:
Image
For this image I'm using two layers...
Image
Now I use the Gaussian Blur filter with value 10 to one layer and these are the results...
Krita filter:
Image
Gimp filter:
Image

3. Move Layers with Keyboard:
I can move the shape objects with the keyboard but I can't with normal layers. Can I do that?

4. Drag and Drop:
Sometimes I need to add images into another document but I can't do drag and drop ion Krita, I have to open new krita instance, select, copy and finally paste in the original file.
Edit: I find the option Insert Image as Layer :P

5. Tabs:
If I have to work with two differents images I have to open two differents instances of Krita. Tabs are more useful.

Regards.

Sorry for my bad English.

1)
A: Border smoothness depends on image resolution. Increase the resolution to get smoother borders.
B: Yes, in the Styles docker you can turn of the border.

2) There is a bug when bluring alpha.

3) I don't think so.

5) There are no tabs.
