I want to transform (to move and rotate) multiple layers. (I use calligra_20110501040531 build)
To move, I put the layers in the Group Layer, it works. But I could not rotate a group with the tool "Transform a layer ..." On the other hand, I can rotate a group of layers from the menu Layer-->Rotate, but it's cropping layer to image size (sometimes it's no problem, but sometimes it is). Is there another way to transform of the multiple layers? Or, more generally, to work with multiple layer simultaneously?* *setting visibility, for example |

Oh, sorry... It's no cropping. Maybe I did something wrong before... PS Group seems to be cropped, but individual layers are really not.

Another question: is there a way to fast "ungroup" layers?

Haven't tried this, but what happens if you just delete the group layer?

It deletes the group layers, and all the children. That the transform tool does not work on a group layer would be a misfeature (I actually try to fix that one to make it work on generated layer, but that part of the code was a bit ugly and I did not dare to touch it...), and the "cropping" while rotating is definitely a bug. Both should be reported to https://bugs.kde.org. Same for "fast" ungrouping of layers. |

cyrille, thank you for the reply!
But I newer writs a bug reports, I need some help about it... I do not know where to start - should I search if there a similar bug already?.. |

No need to look for duplicates, we can sort that out. Easiest way it to go to Help->Report a bug... and then everything is explained.

Just a hint... when it asks if you can reproduce the bug, avoid saying "Never" or it won't let you file the bug. I just choose "Sometimes" if I haven't managed to reproduce it and say so in the bug report.

Kubuntiac, thanks, I'll take into account it.
My next question is about two layer blending modes, Parallel and Allanon. Could someone explain to me the essence of these modes? Thanks in advance! |

I find some information about krita blending modes http://old.nabble.com/Patch%3A-Many-com ... 57698.html For now, I'm using some of "exotic" ones in my work, so I wonder what they actually do... At the moment, I use the following ones (Of course, not counting the "usual"): Geometric Mean Allanon HSI modes for Saturation and Intensity And many many thanks for developers, who make them all available for use! |

Thanks for the link! I'm guessing this information about blend modes needs to be added to Userbase (which doesn't need a login to edit anymore! yay!)

Can I transfer a layer (not raster, that I can select all & copy - paste, but, for example, a Filter Layer) from one .kra file to another one?

Hm... No, well, not easily. I thought that perhaps "save layer as image", then "import image as layer" might work, but it doesn't. That's a bug though. Cut, Copy and paste for layers really should be implemented. Right now, the only way I can imagine is to save the image as a layer, save the other image, unzip both and manually hack the layer from one image into the other, then zip up again... Definitely not good enough.

unzip? Sorry, I did not understand what type of files you have in mind?
I saved as "uncompressed XML" and then I can view the contents of the desired layer (filter settings). But I can't load it back to Krita. I use 2.4 Alpha-1, from 2011 05 01. |
