Seeing as I'm not the only one in a Gnome environment using Krita, I thought it might be helpful to share this way of making it integrate better with the rest of the desktop
This works on any -buntu desktop (Mint, Elementary, Ubuntu, Lubuntu, etc...) and I suppose it would be about the same for the other distros that don't use apt-get (yum, pacman, etc...). We are gonna install KDE System Settings and then run it.
In the window that opens, go to Application Appearance. On Style >> Applications >> Widget style, select GTK+ Now, on Colors >> Colors, set the colors that match your GTK+ theme. You can also set the Icons to be the same as the ones on Gnome but not everything inside Krita will change so it will not be perfect. There. It is not perfect but now there should not be any highly distracting inconsistencies. Get your art on Original source: http://podlesek.org/blog/blogpost/make- ... e-0?page=1 |

Thanks for the thread, I also customise it this way as I'm a gnome user too.
Some of the option are unavailable here in System Settings ( or available but without any effect ) , but I can tweak them with : qtconfig The only thing I'm a bit borred with this gnome/gtk apparence is the toolbar menu icon size. They a lot larger than on the KDE screenshots. my current theme using Krita : http://david.revoy.free.fr/forums/krita ... t_001.jpeg , a bit like Blender , looking for a neutral grey. |

In recent times, I use Ubuntu 11.04 with Unity. For solve the Natty tablet problems, I followed the advice of Animtim's post here. Also, I customized Krita interface a little. Here is my current Krita window, not very elegant, but functional for me:
