In latest Ubuntu 11.10, the pressure issue on canvas is fixed, but as a side effect there is a bug in the preset editor, where stylus tip click doesn't work. A temporary workaround until it's fixed is to use the side button of the stylus instead (the one that does middle-mouse-click) to click where the tip doesn't work.
Also for drop-down menus in preset editor, use same side-button on the stylus to select the drop-down box and use keyboard arrows to toggle value. Note that if you build it yourself, you may miss the icons as build-dep doesn't include them. So install oxygen-icon-theme and it should be better |

So, the Kubuntiac script should work in ubuntu 11.10? I want to test it but I want to make sure, is a big download and my internet is not the best right now.

As for me, I confirm, yes, it works. |

I'll add that to the script. I'm just about to do a new release to add Chakra compatibility, anyway |

Are you using Mint 32bit or 64 bit? If you let me know which release you're using. I'll do an install and text / update it to make sure it does work for you the first time. I've seen your art, and I want to make sure you're a happy Krita user! |

Thanks a lot Kubuntiac, I answer that in deviantart, I think you still did not read it or miss it, yes, I'm using mint 64 bits in my desktop, but now I install Ubuntu 11.10 in my laptop where I'm gonna try to test all the linux stuff here. Again, thanks for the help guys.

I forget one important thing: when installed on the fresh Ubuntu 11.10, there is impossible to save (and, I think, load) any files, until you install Dolphin. So it is an important dependency. |

Erm... That's really weird! Let me check my ubuntu netbook...

I think there's a shared kde-runtime or kdelibs dependency that you get when you install dolphin. On my netbook, for some reason krita was already installed, and that might have installed the dependency. Maybe the script misses that one?

I've just done a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.10 and compiled Krita with the script. I'll see if it works for me and, if not, try it with kde-runtime / kdelibs and get a point release out.

Adding kde-runtime seems to fix the issue, which I've done to both the 'Buntu's and also to Mint, just to be safe. I've just pushed v1.1.3 with these fixes.

By the way, if Krita is made for windows, I swear I will be using krita as my main tool for painting, it also looks great for graphic design.
