Hello,
This may seem like a silly question but I'm quite new to linux etc. I'm having a lot of trouble installing ubuntu, so would it be worth trying to run krita on mac OSX through whatever means are available? My main concern is that tablet sensitivity won't be as good or there would be some bugs which would affect using brushes smoothly or something like that. In other words will it work just as well under Mac OSX? Is there even a way to have a fully functional version of krita on mac os 10.6? Thanks |

Well... Linux really is the primary platform for Krita. On Windows, we've got a very experimental installer that might work reasonably well, or not all that well depending on you setup (it runs fine on my machine...). On OSX, you're, for now, completely on your own. There's a forum thread about it: viewtopic.php?f=137&t=95368.
Basically, I managed to make Krita run a bit on OSX four years ago, then lost my mac. Someone else managed to make Krita run quite well on OSX last year, but didn't make packages available yet. None of the Krita developers has a mac, so nobody can work on packages. It seems to work, but I haven't seen it myself so I cannot confirm it... |
