Installing Steam

Thu Apr 09, 2015 2:26 pm
Hello. Let me start of by saying I have next to zero experience working with any form of Unix. I recently followed a tutorial to install KDE on my son's chromebook so that it runs simultaneously with the Chrome OS. This was done to enable him to play Minecraft. I would love to install Steam as well so that he can play Terraria and Starbound. I downloaded the stream file off of Valves site, but have no idea as to how to install it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

not the best place to ask that question, would suggest you visit the Steam Forums

this looks promising http://www.dudleymediagroup.com/Detail/ ... ebook-2335
but it states:
**Unfortunately this will not work with an ARM based device, such as the Samsung and Samsung 2 Chromebook**

another issue might be graphics performance as Chromebooks don't have discrete graphics but I know nada about Steam
