Longer title. I did not want to paste in the tutorial section etc as it might just be me.
It has been very frustrating when I want to grap a file or an image of my android and the notifiy app says you can open in Dolphin
(with usb debugging on and file transfer selected on Android)

and recently it drops out....so I go back to the phone and find its dropped back to usb charge, which is the default for most Androids.

I got of sick of this so after trying a few apps from the repo I elected to use android-file-transfer which can be compiled from here

does not seem to have been updated for a couple of years......but so far....it works .

PS when you connect android ignore notifier and start up the app
it has a desktop entry in /usr/share/applications
