Hello,
Specs: Mageia 5 ASUS U46e 64 bit system 2.7 gb intel dual core 8 gb RAM installed kdedesktop586 My understanding is that this setup instead of using a i686 64b desktop is better off running the majority of software out there rather than installing a 64 bit desktop even thought it would run faster. Is this an accurate interpretation? I have a program I would like to install but it will only run on 64 bit i686 kernel. Another question....is it possible to run two kernels, one 32 bit and one 64 bit under one setup? Thanks |
