Ok, so my computer was updated to KDE 4:15.12.3-0ubuntu1.
I just found that someone has made the silly decision to disable single click as default in dolphin. So the question is, how do I enable single click??? Searching on the internet, I have found lots of different places where this setting has been in different versions, but none of the places seems to be the right place anymore. Where has it moved to now? I must also say that, since the decision seems to have been made because some people seem to think that Mikrosoft is a God, that KDE needs to look like WindoZ. This is rather silly. Why would you think an inferior operating system is something to follow? I've been using Linux for over 20 years just because Linux is much better than Winows. And because it's configurable, whereas Windows has silly default settings that can't be changed. I say, let windows burn, and look at something else as a model. Or let KDE be the model. |

You seem to use the Ubuntu packages. Ubuntu is a distribution and the distributions can change the defaults as they please. The KDE is still using the single click. The KDE is now releasing: KDE Frameworks 5 Plasma 5 KDE Applications (year.month.bug_fix_revision) Kinfocenter: https://www.kde.org/applications/system/kinfocenter/ Now: The application version can be found application help - Dolphin now: The KDE Community Forums has subgroup for the support requests: viewforum.php?f=224 and general discussion: viewforum.php?f=223 There is: Double-click to open folders in Dolphin - viewtopic.php?f=223&t=128669 The KDE System Settings are part of the plasma desktop. Before the Plasma 5.13 the mouse double/single click were part of the mouse settings: viewtopic.php?f=223&t=128669#p343156 With the Plasma 5.13 or later the double/single click are part of the Workspace KCM: viewtopic.php?f=223&t=128669#p399533 |

This was so counterintutitive. why have they placed the click option in workspace. it was fine in mouse settings and was where one looked naturally. now the double click option is in workspace but the double click interval setting is in mouse settings. someone needs to have their head examined.
