Tip: change local time zone

Sat May 23, 2020 3:45 am
Heya,

This problem can be easily solved in any LINUX platform.

Setup

1. Open Konsole or Terminal.
2. Grant Root Access by typing
Code: Select all
sudo su

3. Type the following
Code: Select all
dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

After the code was entered, it looks like this

Select your timezone by pressing TAB key.
Hit enter when you are done.

If the command is executed without any errors, it displays like this:

Current default time zone: 'Asia/Kolkata'
Local time is now: Sat May 23 09:12:10 IST 2020.
Universal Time is now: Sat May 23 03:42:10 UTC 2020.

Example: I have selected my timezone as India.

I HOPE THAT SOLVED YOUR PROBLEM :D
THANK YOU
