I think I figured out what's the problem here. And it's still happening on Debian-Stable (KDE 5.14.5).
Menubar has disappeared from all apps viewtopic.php?f=66&t=109594 @Third3ye
Solution: You might accidentally added a "Global Menu" widget somewhere. (maybe via a "Application Menu Bar" panel) In this case the menu will be removed from all KDE applications and instead be shown in that widget. There are two solutions to this: 1. Either search for the widget and remove it. (hackers way: remove the "org.kde.plasma.appmenu" section from the ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc file) 2. Or do: System Settings -> Startup and Shutdown -> Background Services -> Applications menus deaemon "Stop" AND uncheck the daemon.
