I will try to use the recent theme for a new look even though I am comfortable with one that I am using right now.

What exactly is your problem? Have you tried any of the above? I suggest you try one and in the unlikely event that you should fail you could open a thread (referring to this one) for each problem you encounter.
That is usually the most efficient way of getting help

On Archlinux I use a package called firefox-kde-opensuse http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=32598
The major goal of this firefox "version" is the best integration with KDE when you save to your hard disk any thing from the web. It does not open an ugly gtk popup, instead opens a popup such as of konqueror: Screenshot: http://ompldr.org/vOGM1cQ It, combined with: Oxygen KDE (firefox theme), which is constantly updated: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Oxygen+KDE+(Firefox+Theme)?content=117962 And, KDE Wallet password integration (firefox addon): http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=116886 Is the best for me. |

Also
What does exactly this?
What is that "thing" called file selector? |

The file selector is that "ugly gtk popup" that you mention in your previous post.

Hello,
I'm using Debian Testing and followed the steps outlined in the first post to integrate firefox 4 (iceweasel 4, anyway) into KDE. However, the drop-down menus look ugly in the sense that when I use my mouse to hover over them, they leave a displeasing white trail behind. Here's a couple of screenshots to show what I mean: http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/5561 ... menus1.png http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/3199 ... menus2.png Any fixes? Thanks Edit: Apparently, it's not just drop down menus, but menus in general: http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/3884 ... xmenus.png |

Hm, what do you have in system Settings under GTK Styles and Fonts? Try Use my KDE style in GTK applications in case you have specified a special style...

I use QTCurve. My System Settings do not show the menu as "GTK Styles and Fonts" but as "GTK+Appearance", by the way. Here's a screenshot which clarifies everything: http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/1747/qtcurve.png |

The Gtk settings KCM is not part of KDE itself, it comes from kde-look.org, etc. Might be available as a kcm-gtk or kcm_gtk package though.

Maybe you are talking about kde-config-gtk-style package.
Do not try this at home, part 1. Second most favorite command after KDE upgrade: # chmod -x /usr/bin/kactivitymanagerd
