In general, using Oxygen-Gtk is a good start to fixing the appearance of Firefox - it will do a good part of the job for you. It also helps to use a distribution which bundles in the Firefox KDE extensions component - which changes things such as the file picker, etc.

Not sure what you mean. There's a Oxygen Firefox theme: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=117962 There's also been attempts to make a Qt port of Firefox: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Qt

@ goro
I have deleted your post 'cos it has absolutely nothing to do with firefox integration. Please start your own thread or use google. Thanks.

firefox-kde-support package isnt' working since upgrade to Kubuntu 12.04. Now I can't open a file or a folder from the download dialog window.
Any ideas? Thanks... PS: I've tried to uninstall it to install it again, but now the package is gone and can't be installed"

I'm using Debian testing with KDE and didn't install any special packages for KDE/Firefox integration, besides general oxygen-gtk theme. I can open containing folder from the Download dialog (and it launches Dolphin). File opens as well (though it launches Dolphin first which isn't ideal but works).
In my Firefox preferences I have this setting though: In Edit > Preferences > Applications for content type "file" associated application is dolphin. |

Most of those settings and protocol associations can be set up manually though.

I've found a workaround at http://matthieu.yiptong.ca/2012/04/12/fix-file-open-and-open-containing-folder-on-kdekubuntu-12-04/%20!
Thanks for the answers.

There is no need to delete the whole mimeTypes.rdf - it's too radical since it deletes lot's of settings besides the one in question. Just edit the appropriate line in there for the "file" mime type. Or as I wrote above, you can do it through Firefox preferences UI.
