Mouse shortcuts

Tue Oct 13, 2009 4:55 pm
I promised that I would post a link in the forums, so here it is:

Mouse shortcuts with xbindkeys »

What's included in this guide:
  • How to create a default configuration file for xbindkeys.
  • Add your own keyboard and mouse shortcuts.
  • A little bit about using D-Bus to communicate with KDE applications.
  • Emulate key presses with xte.
  • Make xbindkeys autostart.
  • Examples of how to bind mouse buttons to KWin effects.
  • Examples of how to fix back/forward buttons for Dolphin, Konqueror, Firefox etc.

Enjoy!

Do you mean the GUI tool, or just the config file? I don't use the former, but I could install it and take a screenshot if you want.

As for the latter, I already posted some snippets from the file, for example
Code: Select all
# Present Windows
"xte 'keydown Control_L' 'key F10' 'keyup Control_L'"
  b:8
