I'm on Mageia2 using KDE version 4.8.2
standard default panel, tweeked a bit [the height is oversized] the time is fine, I need the long form date to be larger |

I don't think there's much you can do except increase the size of the panel height

Garthhh: just install it as superuser (root). I believe that from command line you can simply do:
As Mageia is distro aimed to rather unexperienced users, they may have some graphical app to do the job. In that case, simply clicking on the file in Dolphin may be enough.

using the package installer from dolphin
gives me an error due to an "unsatisfied workspace" I'd post a screenshot if it's possible? |
