Oxygen icons are increadible. The number of details on those icons is unmatched. They are also clean, certainly as clean as gnome icons.

But I wish they could be a little less flashy. :-/

I am still not convinced whether it is distro specific or not. Because I noticed that you can not uninstall some applications because they have dependency issues with kdelibs. I am not 100% sure but I think this situation is valid for every distro.

Back to the icons again. I think they should have more color diversity, variety. For example blue is widely used. When you are not looking carefully, it may be difficult to distinguish them from each other. Look at the quickstart icons in the panel here: http://kde.org/workspaces/plasmadesktop ... esktop.png
