I have 3 Linux boxes all running kde. One of the machines runs as a server connecting everything else in the house. Oddly enough, that server does not appear in any of the XDMCP Host Menus on the other two machines. Similarly, on the server, only itself is listed in it's XDMCP Host Menu.

Any ideas on what could cause this?

Can you confirm that XDMCP traffic is permitted by any relevant firewalls in between these systems?
On a linux system, running "iptables -L" as root will show the current list of firewall rules in effect.
