Hi,
I've use kde on kubuntu for about a few hours and am still exploring it's fascinating tool chains. I have a reasonably powerful system and performance is quite 'snappy'. I love this deeper integration of the desktop env with 'stuff' I am still very unfamiliar with a lot of things kde (even unix-likes) . Hoping to emerge enlightened. PS: I might pop into the dev forums and perhaps even make a useful contirb ![]() |

Welcome
![]() Exploring what all there is and the different ways of how to do things is what makes Linux OS's such fun. It is much, much more than the monetary 'freeness', the mental 'freeness' and openness is what hooked me ![]() |

That's awesome. Welcome aboard! KDE is great software built on an outstanding framework and supported by a community second to none. Check out kubuntu-devel on IRC if you want to get your finger directly on the pulse of what's happening. And of course here and planet.kde.org for all things purely KDE-centric
