k3b can't find optical drive...

Mon May 20, 2013 5:43 pm
I've seen this more than one time, but I have the same problem I'm running Mint14. I've tried the config and it didn't help. I started kb3 once and it was showing my DVD, but then it disappeared. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Please check the output of "solid-hardware list" it should list a "sr0" in there if it is working properly, likely under "/org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/" or similar.

If you are missing this, then your UDisks installation is broken.
You can run "udisks --enumerate" to get a list of devices from UDisks using their tool directly.
