Building KDE 4.10 from source

Running KDE 4.6.5 on 2.6.39.4-5.1-desktop kernel.
Mandriva Linux release 2011.0 (Official) for x86_64

Because there will be no more Mandriva releases, I thought I wold investigate updating to KDE 4.10 from source. However:
1.http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started ... esrc-build has lots of warnings about pages being updated/inconsistent etc

You might want to try the fairly Mandriva based Mageia distribution.

In any instance, kdesrc-build is the recommended tool to build KDE with now, and will allow you to build everything from Qt upwards fairly easily.
Just as a warning - building latest KDE on older distributions tends to be problematic, due to increased dependency needs - so your builds may not succeed.
