Looks great, but alas, it won't be in 4.2 I believe, since it is mostly a mock up. Or is it?

No, that's how it looks at the moment. But the inner workings aren't there yet. I compiled it a month ago and it wouldn't quite connect to any network.

I am running Kubuntu 9.04 beta and must say I am over all very pleased. But there are a couple of really big annoyances. One is pulseaudio configuration (non-existant - really), the other is network control (non existant too... ) I am not talking about choosing a wireless network. This is pretty easy now. What I am talking about is doing a few changes to the IP setup and then renew DHCP. Extremely easy in MS Win and OSX. No need to use CLI. And this is how it should be in KDE as well. Even if I use DHCP, I prefer to use specific DNS servers. I usually have three servers in my list - my in-house caching DNS server and two servers from OpenDNS. But where in KDE do you go to set this? And when it is done, where do you go to renew DHCP to activate this? I have been looking around, asking in forums - nothing found yet. And the description to renew DNS was so complicated that I think it is easier to reboot. This is a big turnoff for new users and should be fixed. There is no shame in looking at what MS Win and OSX has and just say "We want all this and then some!".
