Does that means that rekonq will change too? And the other kde apps that use webkit like akregator, etc.?

I do not have the technical background to evaluate this change, but sounds interesting. At least the Qt guys provided a lot of reasons for the change. What do your think?

Yep, it's possible.

Sure.

like akregator, etc.?
I guess not. Akregator still uses KHTML.
