EU funding for KDE?

Horizon 2020 is starting next year: http://ec.europa.eu/research/horizon2020/index_en.cfm Are there any plans to request grants for KDE? What does Neelie Kroes think about KDE?

KDE was partially represented in the ALERT project for the previous FP* program. In my experience (another field, but I've worked with others to write EU grants) it is definitely *not* trivial to get something approved there (lots of paperwork, too).
