Here is some annoying KDE bugs i find (if u know more post it in comment below):
1. Trash Icon: when open a kickoff launcher >> computer and drag trash to desktop(by: Link Here) its show a shortcut but without real trash icon ..its look
more like text file icon and after i right-click on it and set icon - then it always show me: trash is empty even after i delete some files,,, WHY??
2.my desktop shortcuts after playing games or changing a desktop Layout always get mesed up,, and i must rearange it again and again... also after i put lot of files on desktop(15 or 20) and allocate them to wole desktop(to the random locations) after next login KDE auto-arange it all to left side of desktop! WHAY???
3. sometimes after playing cs 1.6 (in 640x480 mode) after i quit game my screen also change resolution to 640x480 and i must go to system settings and
change resolution back to 1200x1000... THAT IS VERY STRANGE :o
4. i also love to set-up my kick off menu NOT to switch tabs on hover but after couple off logout-login that option turn on automatically.
It was not a big problem,,but It seems that KDE cannot permanently save all my desktop settings,, is it true and WHY???
- just to be clear i LOVE KDE ,, for me its BEST DESKTOP EVER but we need to make it even better, right??
-and i hope that, among others, some KDE DEVELOPERS will also see this topic and maybe respond to it ;D

Did you try looking at bugs.kde.org? If some of these issues aren't 100% occurring, chances are they didn't get spotted (and thus not fixed).

most off this bugs ar reported at bugs.kde.org 2 or more times soo therefore i call this topic: IS ANYONE TRIED SO FAR TO FIX IT??
all kde and linux developers must know that most people when find a lot off bugs they dont lose more time reporting a bug wich is alrady reported,,they just change a distro or os(back to window$)
one example: problem with icons position is from KDE 3.5.x :o and still isnt fixed... that is soo disappointing >:(
soo its obvious - kde developer more care about stuff like 3D efects and a fancy muon software suite then about soo elementary things like desktop icons...
its sounds sad,, but its true.. :'(
i am shore KDE will be the best desktop ,, ONLY when fix most bugs and incrise stability.
but its just not easy to wait for that to happen :-\
p.s. @einar ar u a developer ???

First, please edit your topic title to not contain excessive UPPERCASE letters as it's against our .
It'll also make it more likely that people will actually read the post. :)

Then you should be able to find your answer in the bug report. Look in the comments to see if anyone is working on it.

Please refrain from making such comments, it's not helpful in any way (see Code of Conduct). I'm sure most KDE developers would be happy to see such bugs fixed. However, realize that the majority of developers are working on their free time, they're also normal users with a job or going to school, just like you and me. So it is not strange that they spend their spare time to contribute to things that they care about. If a particular developer likes funny 3D effects, why should we stop him/her?

Saying things like "all KDE developers only care about x" is like saying "adnanjusic doesn't care about anything, because he's not writing any code at all". And obviously that's wrong, it's clear that you care, otherwise you wouldn't have written this topic.

Here's an example showing that the developers do care about fixing bugs:
http://freininghaus.wordpress.com/2014/ ... bug-fixes/

As far as I know, only a handful developers have worked on the KWin effects and Muon software suite.

but its just not easy to wait for that to happen :-\

If you're interested in helping out, there are many ways! For example:
1. Scratch your own itch by fixing the bugs that annoy you. That's how a lot of developers get started. Here's a handbook for how to become a KDE developer: http://flossmanuals.net/kde-guide/
2. Not interested in coding? There are still plenty of ways you can help. You can join the KDE BugSquad to help cleaning up the bug tracker, which will make it more likely that developers will find the relevant bugs. Note that listing your favorite bugs is generally not useful, since developers tend to ignore such lists (it would be chaos if everyone made such lists that the developers would have to keep track of). Using the bug tracker is the way to go.
3. Here are some more ways to contribute: http://community.kde.org/Getinvolved

i already look and most comments ar from other users with the same problem..no one give some solutions how to fit it...

i just think that developers shuld have some priority list ,, to be able to know what is important to fix first...
becauose some part of KDE project is more impoptant from others ,,for example desktop icons and schorcuts is much more vital then a kwin desktop cube efect.
,,This does not mean that developers should not work on things like desktop cube - but only after make shore all more important things ar without any bug!

for example: if u run win 95 and place a icon to any random position in desktop ,as long as win 95 work, that icon will remail on position u chose ...
and just think in modern desktop like KDE u cant achieve that - is very embarrassing :<

voting for bugs on bugs.kde.org is there to show devs that users consider that bug popular, doesn't mean it can or will be fixed. 2 reports on a bug doesn't confirm the bug is replicable nor demonstrates the issue is widespread or important to the community.

when discussing bugs already submitted it would be nice to post links to the bugs

not sure the issues in the original post are not fixable, have you posted them on the appropriate forums to see if they are. for example when I replicate #1 and select icon after the drag I get the std trash icon that I expect, if instead you add the trash widget does it display correctly?

also it is helpful to post your distro and KDE versions when seeking assistance

the bugs you reference are from the 3.x series which is no longer supported and shouldn't relevant to 4.13, if you wish to see if there are existing bug reports http://bugs.kde.org is the proper place to search

I really think you should:
1) search bugs.kde.org
2) post your issues individually on the proper forums here

ps - sorry should have noticed your sig

but if bug is reported in KDE 3.5.x and still is not fixed,,is there any sense to report it at again and again (in KDE 4.8,, 4.11,, 4.13...) ???

i search already and there is a more then 100 bugs
that is the same or similar to my problems and most of them is in KDE v4.x.x and later...

KDE 4 was a major rewrite and you should not assume that bugs from 3.x are applicable to 4.x,

i know that KDE is now preparing for a new big step :framework 5 , and things must be re-organized in a new way
but some bugs arr too old and soo trivial to be ignored ... i hope in future KDE will be much more stable and polished :-\
