The workspace (Plasma and the like) is at version 4.11.x since the LTS period started (~a year ago), and it will get bugfix updates for at least another year. Libraries (kdelibs) are more or less frozen already (way before the Plasma freeze started) so all that's left is applications. Not everything is ported to KF5, so the next releases will have:

- bugfixes only in libs
- bugfixes only in workspace
- new releases of applications (either 4.x based or KF5 based depending on the applications themselves)

Given the above, releases will be mostly about applications.

dziura Registered Member Posts 1 Karma 0	Is 4.14 the last release in the 4.x series? Tue Aug 26, 2014 1:53 pm I've read in some sites that 4.14 is the last update to the 4.x series. But is this true? If yes, then after 4.14.3, KDE SC will be replaced by KF5/Plasma 5?
