Changing Link Text Color

Wed Sep 17, 2014 3:11 am
There is one font color I can not figure out how to change with my current KDE setup. I would have assumed it would be called something like Link Text under Colors, but changing that color has no effect on the text I'm trying to change. Here (http://i.imgur.com/2pn7kis.png) is a snapshot of CodeBlocks to show what color I want to change. It is the dark blue text being used for "Create a new project". This color also shows up when bookmarks are suggested in the firefox address bar, and an ever darker blue is used for google suggestions in the firefox address bar. I have tried to change every single vaguely blue colored text option I can find under Colors and none of them seems to affect it.

Thanks for any help. This is the only thing messing up my dark theme, and I've been stuck with it for a while.

Sometimes applications use their own colors configuration for certain elements that (the developer thinks) don't match any of the colors provided by the system color scheme (usually hard-coding things with the expectation that the system color scheme will be some variant of dark-on-light).

The best advice I can give you is to dig through the application's configurations and if that doesn't turn up anything useful to go ask in the forums for the individual applications to see if there is a way to customize the elements in question. Hopefully you don't have to go as far as recompiling the application.
