Greetings!

I have a very strange issue and I simply have no idea what to do with it. After I enter my password and hit Enter to login, a strange "notification" appears. It's a grey (possible GTK?) panel with no title, or any content apart from an "info" icon (white letter "i" on blue disc), and the only button it has is "OK". KDE doesn't load until I hit OK. After clicking it, splash screen appears and system loads as normal.

It started a few days ago, and I was unable to associate its appearance with any changes or package installs.

I feel completely helpless because I just can't get any clue on where to look... I tried Googling for it but no matter what I searched for I only got irrelevant results. I tried removing the last package I installed (appset-qt) but that made no difference.

Arch Linux 64 bit + Latest KDE

Does anybody have an idea how to approach this?

Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?

Are there any logs that would show what happens during that stage?

it might help if you could provide a pic, you could try using a camera or better yet a snapshot of your login screen using one of the following suggested howto' s (none of which I've actually tried):

does a different account have this same issue?
