I am running Kubuntu 15.04 on my Sager NP8268. I have played with Linux in the past and am re-introducing myself to it right now. I am experiencing random freezing, most often on the KDM Login screen. I personally prefer the look and feel of KDM so I am running Kubuntu. The reason I feel the issue is with KDM is when I was running Gnome I didn't have any problems, I also ran OpenSuse recently with KDE Desktop and I had similar freezing problems.

Are there any hardware incompatibilities with KDM? What can I try to get rid of this problem. I would like to keep using KDM if possible.
