Roll Back.

Sat Oct 10, 2015 3:42 pm
I sort advice from the opensuse forum, but the matter still remains unresolved; Maybe it cannot be resolved.
The 'problem' came about when I downloaded Bangarang, and accepted Vendor change etc. (through YAST);
These changes brought about modification to the Panel (lost Widgets) and loss of Notification Sounds.
I thought that it would be easy to delete Bangarang, and simply (one tap) Undo the changes; Apparently, not so;
Though this type of facility exists in Windows.
My question, now is; How is it possible to Resolve this type of problem, and is there a way of working within something
akin to a Sandbox, so as to mitigate such 'disasters'.
If Linux is to become Attractive and Usable, then it MUST be resilient enough, not to Break, or, at least, there be a means
by which the situation is easily resolved.

iirc it only works in Windows if you create a restore point before installing the sw

it would be helpful to know what the vendor change was as well as what version of openSUSE you are running and where you got the rpm. It appears that Bangarang is available thru YMP for 13.1 and Tumbleweed so if you're running 13.2 that could explain the cause of your problem

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x
