I really like Xfce4 but, just like you mentioned: I can't see myself using anything other than Plasma now. I "grew up" on Gnome (v1 back in late 90's) and was a die hard fan until v3 hit, then jumped ship to Xfce4. Gnome, Xfce4 are the only 2 desktops I've used with any regularity in my 20 years of Linux usage. I used to scoff at KDE because it "looked too much like windows", but after having used Plasma these past few weeks I have realized that ANY desktop with a menu button and taskbar is similar to windows so it doesn't really matter what it looks like, it matters what it can do. I am a big fan of oddball window managers and DE's but in the end, it comes down to how usable they are for my workflow.

I don't know how I lived this long without Dolphin! Amazing file manager pretty much sums it up for me. Very happy to be a KDE convert and if all continues to go well, I'll stick around :)
