I'm working on bonsole project, which will allow (in remote future) to use webbrowser engine by console commands (this could have many benefits).
But today I have another idea... First change in my way of DE perspective was to change application menu with help center containing text like... Do something (for example write an text, send an e-mail, etc.). Each position could invoke command like "firefox http://kde.org", etc. Next thing is to allow user to edit this menu and last is to integrate the desktop with this concept. Why not integrate Desktop Environment with CMS/Wiki system? Instead adding icon, user might click edit button (on start often task page for example) and add an link in selected position. Link could be an text, an image or whatever. User could edit each page on own profile. Is it the idea related to Plasma paradigm - let's create big workspace fully changeable by users in simple way. User will install extension written in Java Script or another language, which doesn't have full access to computer. What do you thing? Changing menu/full desktop onto editable and task-oriented form is an good idea? Maybe another desktop (folder view, normal desktop) plasmoid?
