Broke my Kubuntu

Sun Apr 14, 2019 3:47 pm
I ended up installing xserver-xorg-core in order to install it. After reboot, it logs me into Ubuntu within a fish terminal and I can no longer access Kubuntu. Is there any way to get back into Kubuntu or am I SOL?

In order to help you we would need to know which exact Distribution version you are talking about to start with.

Also why would you have to install a package separately that should be installed by default?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
