Hello all! New KDE Neon user (as of yesterday) and still quite new to Linux (since December). In the past 4 months I've done more than my share of distro-hopping, some out of curiosity and some out of the fact that two of my old and hardware-challenged laptops (which I'm using as my "Linux Laboratories") are cursed with the Broadcom BCM4313 wireless adapter. Some distros simply do not play well with that card (are you listening, Solus? Manjaro?) while others are much more agreeable...and I'm pleased to discover that KDE Neon is one of them!
My installation went very smoothly and I'm up and running. However, during the install, I ticked the box for installation of third-party drivers (which I would usually do). And, as I say, it works. However, I'm curious to know if there is any collective forum experience with this card that would lead you to advise that I might have been better off if I'd not ticked that box and gone with whatever KDE Neon installs of a non-proprietary nature. I'm not so far in with the process of "getting settled" with KDE Neon that I wouldn't be willing to do the installation again. I hope I posted this is the proper forum section (I trust the admin will move it if I didn't)...I saw the section where questions were NOT supposed to be answered but I really didn't see anywhere for questions about initial installation. |

Nevermind. Disregard. KDE Neon is not what I want. I will be better served by using Kubuntu.
