Hello,
KDE is a fantastic desktop and I love it. i use KDE on a 2-in-1 PC (hybrid) and it works very well except under plasma wayland. I know that many work were made to have more support for wayland on KDE but it is not still perfect. I really would to see more support for hybrid PC (tablet/PC) because nowadays these hardware are more present. I tested last KDE plasma 5.20.x and there are many regression for the support of hybrid PC under Wayland (auto screen rotation not working, default virtual keyboard seems to be dropped, ...). It seems that Wayland must replace xorg in the futur, because xorg is very old, but for now Wayland is not still ready under KDE. It seems that Wayland is more suitable under Gnome but I don't why it is the case despite KDE is also a better desktop. Despite it, the kde team make a wonderfull job and the KDE desktop is better in each version. Thanks for your job. |

The are supporting Wayland more and more with each release. Before 5.20, my convertible laptop had no auto-rotation in Wayland, but it works now.
The keyboard is still an issue, and it only supports Qt related applications, but there are other on screen keyboard options. Not ideal, for sure, though.
