Why not focus 100% on touch with KDE? Drop to „desktop” support and be the best where there is no #1 (in Linux world)?
Just thinking....

And there are several technical difficulties to achieve that, starting with a very heterogeneous hardware out there, and that is only the beginning of the problem...
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11

I absolutely understand that argument but maybe doing one thing really good might be better than doing everything good enough?
Don’t get me wrong. I’m switching KDE/Gnome/Xfce constantly (+ using iPad Pro rescently) since Mandrake became Mandriva (my first distro). After using iPad pro I’m used to having a touch screen so it’s hard to go back. Why not GUI that is an direct alternative to iOS? “mobile first” I just want it to run on my tablet https://productz.com/en/archos-101-g9-10-1/p/dg81 Good machine but could me more flexible with linux. |
