I just recently switched from KDE 3 to KDE 4. I'm using the default Oxygen icons, before I was using the Slick icons in KDE 3. I'm loving the new icons. When I open my home folder in Dolphin I noticed the Desktop folder had not the default blue folder icon but a blank icon. It's the icon you get when no icon is set. I forgot what it looked like. I changed it a few days ago. Anyway, I was wondering what would be good Icons (other then the default) to change the folders in the home folder (such as Documents, Mail, Music, etc) into? The Desktop folder I changed to the "user-desktop" icon from System icons: Places. I want each folder to have a icon to represent the overall content in that folder. So I'm looking for suggestions in that area.
Now for Konqueror. I'm referring to the icon in the upper right of the Konqueror window, not the shortcut icon. I loved the icon that was used from the Slick icons when I was in KDE 3. It's a spinning globe with lights. It kind of reminded me of Netscape way back in the day. I was hoping the KDE devs might consider using the same icon in the Oxygen icons. The 2D K that's being used now isn't all that "inspiring". The spinning blue globe seems to me more suited for the Oxygen look then the flat 2D K that's being used now. Also, would the KDE devs consider giving us a way to see the icons that would be chosen when selecting a theme. As it is now, you get at most 3 samples of the entire icon set. I would like to see a bit more then that when trying to decide between a theme. When you're in Style or Windows under System Settings you get a preview of the changes. If the devs could do something like that with the Icons section that would be great.
